Morphosis is a performance that combines object manipulation and dance to explore connection and its inherent uncertainty. Two figures observe and challenge one another in a state of inevitable transformation, searching for agency and a shared direction within a hazy, cold reality.

What happens when we stop resisting the inevitable? What if we allow change to take place? Are we standing at an ending, or at the threshold of a new beginning?

Morphosis is the first collaboration between juggler Onni Toivonen, dancer-choreographer Olli Lautiola, lighting and spatial designer Titus Torniainen, and musician-sound designer Konsta Leinonen. The work brings together Toivonen’s expertise in object manipulation and contemporary circus, Lautiola’s dynamic and densely layered choreographic practice, Torniainen’s approach to expressive, emotionally responsive light design, and Leinonen’s immersive and compelling sound world.
